Coconut Butter…no, not oil, butter!

Has anyone used this stuff?? I just discovered this Raw Organic Coconut Butter (at Marshals of all places!) and I’m in love! I haveused Coconut Oil plenty of times for cooking like everyone else but I didn’t know there was a Coconut Butter out there! I LOVE anything coconut! So far I have only used it on toast but you can use it in smoothies, as a butter or margarine replacement or if you make your own granola or energy bars i bet it would taste fantastic!

The Coconut Butter is made from the whole coconut flesh not just the oil so you get all the nutrition from the whole coconut:  oil, dietary fiber, protein and vitamins and minerals. The difference between Coconut Butter and Coconut Oil is the fiber content. The Coconut Butter is the pureed meat of the coconut so it has a good fiber content (5g), the Coconut Oil has no fiber because the oil has been separated from the meat of the coconut.

This brand does not add any fillers or preservatives, the only ingredient on the label is Organic Raw Coconut. 🙂

Thought I would share my new discovery with all of you even though you may already know of this…maybe I’m just a little slow!  😉
